====== Navigating and Shortcuts ====== ===== Global Search ===== ''Ctrl-Z'' will put the cursor in the global search box at the top right of the tool bar. The search box can be used to find various items in application. Pressing the down arrow key will open a drop down box allowing you to select various options. Along with the search results, pressing down will show the last few tabs that were open and allow you to return to recently closed tabs. Examples: > Type in a stock code or a cross reference, press down and select stock search. > Type ''new sale'' and press down and select `Sales, New Sale` will start a new invoice. ===== Command history ===== From the global search box. Press the ''down arrow'', at the bottom of the list will be the last tabs that were opened. Selecting and pressing ''enter'' will re-open the tab ===== Navigating between tabs ===== ''Ctrl-w'' will close the currently open tab, or back out to the previous screen. ''Ctrl-1'' will open the left most tab of the current pane. ''Ctrl-2'' will open the second tab. ''Ctrl-3'' the third and so on. ''Ctrl-1'' Will switch to the first tab in a pane, pressing ''Ctrl-1'' again will return the previous tab. i.e. repeatedly pressing the same ''Ctrl-'' will flip between the current tab and the number. ===== Pinning ===== Double clicking on the title of a tab will pin the tab to the screen. Pinned tabs cannot be closed. Double clicking on a pinned tab will un-pin the tab.
