The product code can be entered in the stock code box. However, best practice is to scan the product barcode. ===== Destination ===== {{ :automagic:wms:new-stock-destination.png?200|}} Enter the ''quantity'' and the ''destination'' in the fields and click ''Ok''. If necessary, set the ''Best before date'' and ''Batch Number''. If no best before date and batch no are supplied, the software will assume that the batch is the same as that on the destination. The destination can be one of the following: - A ''picking location'' assigned to the stock item. - A ''unit load''. - An empty ''storage location'' with a capacity of 1 - A ''storage location'' containing a ''phantom unit load'' If you are adding stock to a unit load: * The ''unit load'' must be located in ''GOODS-IN''. * The ''unit load'' already contains stock of the items you are trying to store. **New Stock** this is the default selection. Select new stock when the goods are from a suppliers delivery. i.e. this is the first time these items are entering the warehouse. **Retour** should be selected if the goods that are re-touring the warehouse. A re-tour might be one of the following: * A customer return. * Storing stock for a pick list that has been cancelled. ===== Summary ===== The final screen shows a summary of the new stock operation.
