Install OpenWebStart

Goto https://www.openwebstart.com/ and download and install OpenWebStart onto your computer.

Installing Media Magic's root security certificate

Importing our security certificate allow your computer to verify that the software is genuinely written and packaged by Media Magic. The software might not run correctly if the certificate is not loaded correctly.

You will need mediamagic-root.crt file from the home page of your AutoMagic Server. Download the file and store it on your desktop.

If you cannot find the root certificate please contact Media Magic to obtain a copy of the correct certificate. DO NOT install a certificate from anyone you do not trust.

Open the Open Webstart Settings from either the Start Menu or the Application launcher.  Open the Web Start settings

Select certificates from the left menu and select Trusted Root CA Certificates from the certificate type drop down box.  Select the certifcate type

Click on the Import button and open the mediamagic-root.crt file.  Import the root certificate

You will see mediamagic.ltd.uk in the root certificates list when the import is complete.

Close the settings window.

Running the Accio Launcher

Download the following file and open it with OpenWebStart. Accio Launcher

If you are trying to run this on MacOS you can try opening a terminal window and running the following command

open -a "OpenWebStart javaws" https://www.magicsupport.co.uk/accio/current/Accio.jnlp
